BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Madison Volunteer Fire Department has received water and is expecting more soon, according to emergency management officials in Boone County.
Ten pallets of water have arrived at maintenance garage. The line is so long, though, that it is expected to be gone in a matter of minutes.
County officials are expecting two tractor-trailers with more water within an hour or two. It will go to the maintenance garage at 36 Avenue B and will then be distributed to fire departments throughout the county for people to pick up -- likely only one case per family.
Water also will be available at Wharton-Barrett, Whitesville and Morrisvale volunteer fire departments, so people can go to those departments with their own containers and fill them up with water before 11 p.m. today (Friday) and then during the weekend.
