PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman from Putnam County is headed to prison after she admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old boy.
Summer Burford was sentenced on Thursday.
Burford was arrested in November 2011 after police say the boy's father found her and his son locked in a bedroom at her home in Winfield.
Burford was originally charged with six counts of sexual assault and six counts of sexual abuse, but later pleaded guilty to just one count of each.
On Thursday, the judge sentenced Burford to one to five years in prison on the sexual assault charge and 90 days in jail for the sex abuse charge. Burford will serve the two sentences concurrently, meaning at the same time.
During the hearing, Burford apologized for what happened.
"I would love to take it back, turn back time, but that's impossible. You know, the 11 days that I was in jail, it just, it reformed me to, to fall down on my knees and ask for forgiveness," Burford said.
Burford was taken to jail after the hearing.

Burford is charged with six counts of sexual assault and six counts of sexual abuse.
She was in court Friday where she told the judge she wanted to plead guilty in the case, according to court records.
A plea hearing has been set for October 26.
West Virginia State Police out of Winfield tell WSAZ.com Summer Lynn Burford, who is 34 years old, was arrested Saturday after confessing to having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old boy.
Police say the father of the victim went to pick up his son Tuesday from Ms. Burford’s home. After a small child answered the door, the victim’s father found Ms. Burford and his son inside a locked bedroom. The victim later confessed to having sexual intercourse with Burford.
Burford was taken to the Western Regional Jail. She’s been charged with six counts of sexual assault and six counts of sexual abuse.
At this time, police are not aware of any other victims.
Burford’s bond has been set at $100,000.
