Woman and Child Burned in Parkersburg House Fire

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Crews are on the scene of a house fire that injured two people.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the fire broke out just after 9:30 a.m. on Laird Avenue in Parkersburg.

They say a woman and a child were inside at the time and suffered burns.

Dispatchers say the injuries are not life-threatening.

Several roads in the area are blocked off as crews continue working. Dispatchers expect them to be re-opened around 11 a.m.
