MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Mason County woman has been indicted, accused of setting a house and garage on fire, and pouring gasoline on the homeowner.

Debra Lynn Scott, 50, of Point Pleasant, was indicted this week by the Mason County Grand Jury on charges of first-degree arson, entering without breaking and assault.

According to the criminal complaint, on January 30, Scott went to a home on Layton Lane in Point Pleasant.

Deputies say she went through the front door of the home, started a fire in the garage using gasoline and then set the living room chair on fire. She is also accused of trying to throw gasoline onto the homeowner.
