UPDATE: I-77 North Reopens After Crash in Kanawha County

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Northbound lanes of Interstate 77 north of Charleston have reopened after a crash early Friday morning.

Dispatchers say it happened just past midnight. Investigators say a tractor trailer stopped on the side of the road was sideswiped by another semi.

Emergency crews say there are no life-threatening injuries but that there may be multiple people transported to the hospital.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash involving two tractor trailers early Friday morning has closed Interstate 77 North at the Edens Fork Road exit.

Dispatchers say it happened just past midnight. Investigators say a tractor trailer stopped on the side of the road was sideswiped by another semi.

Emergency crews say there are no life-threatening injuries but that there may be multiple people transported to the hospital.

Crews hope to reopen at least one lane overnight, but there is concern that one of the trucks might topple over.
