DAY 3: John Marra's Hawaiian Holiday
Day 3, Tuesday March 23
"Can't believe it", "Wow", "Look at this one over here John."
These were the words of excited tours guests visiting one
of Hawaii's best known orchard farm, Akatsuka Orchard Gardens.
The tour guide and driver kept saying they had a special stop up ahead
as we made our way to Volcano National Park.
A surprise it was to everybody, especially this retired agriculture extension agent.
Not only could our tour see the best collection of orchids in Hawaii,
but they could send these agriculture inspected flowers state side.
The size, shape and color of many of the varieties could only be
appreciated with your eye balls up close and personal to these
tropical flowers.
It's one thing to see orchids inside a home growing
in the tri state region but it's a different perspective to see them
in their natural environment.
Keep your green thumb growing!
