BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- While Christmas may be over, for some people it's all about taking advantage of after-Christmas sales and getting a head start on next year.
Barbara Hager of Barboursville was one of many people going store-to-store to cash in on after-Christmas bargains.
"Sometimes I'll buy for my grandchildren and I'll buy things for them a year ahead of time," Hager said. "I hope I get the sizes right because everything's marked down. You get it for 50 percent off, so you buy it for next year."
Phillippa McComas of Chesapeake, Ohio, says it's all about taking advantage of the best deals.
"I think everybody should to get a decent dollar deal," McComas said. "Stock up on Christmas paper and things like that. That's what I like to do."
While the shopping and the bargains might be at their best right now, keep in mind that extended holiday hours are over and most stores are back to their regular schedules.
