UPDATE: Fire Destroys Firefighter's Home

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A late night fire destroyed the home of a firefighter.

The fire was reported about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday at a house on Depot Street in Barboursville.

Firefighters on the scene told WSAZ.com the house belonged to a firefighter.

No one was injured.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters from two departments are on the scene of a structure fire late Tuesday night in the 500-block of Depot Street in Barboursville, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

The fire was reported about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday -- reportedly involving a house, dispatchers say.

Flames were showing when firefighters arrived. Crews from Barboursville and Ohio River Road volunteer fire departments are at the scene.

No injuries have initially been reported.

We have a crew headed to the scene.
