Fire Destroys Home, Garage, Van; Route 60 Reopens

ONA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people are looking for a new place to live after their mobile home went up in flames.

According to the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department, two people were at their home in the 3200-block of Route 60 when they started to smell smoke. They went outside and saw fire coming from a trash can in the garage that was next to their mobile home.

The fire quickly spread from the garage to their home and and van -- all of which were completely destroyed.

Route 60 was shut down while firefighters battled the flames.

No one was injured during the fire.

Four Cabell County school buses were delayed as a result of Route 60 being shut down.

Firefighters tell that the fire will not be investigated any further.

The owners do not have insurance.

ONA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fire has closed a portion of Route 60 near Cyrus Creek Road in Cabell County.

The fire is in the 3200-block of Route 60. That is near Ona Used Auto Sales, according to 911 Dispatchers.

The call came in to dispatchers about 3:10 p.m. Monday. is told that several structures are reportedly on fire.

We have crew headed to the scene.

Firefighters say Route 60 should be closed in the area for some time.
