UPDATE: Semi Jackknifes on I-64 in Huntington

UPDATE 7/20/12 @ 1:25 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Traffic is again moving on I64 after a tractor trailer crashed Friday morning.

The crash happened near the 10 mile marker, between Hal Greer and 5th Street Exits in Huntington about 11:40 a.m.

The semi ended up in the median. Emergency responders say the semi was heading west, jackknifed and went through the cable barrier.

I64 was down to one lane in each direction in the area of the crash while crews removed the semi.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Traffic is backed up on I64 after a tractor trailer crash Friday morning.

The crash happened near the 10 mile marker, between Hal Greer and 5th Street Exits in Huntington about 11:40 a.m.

Crews on the scene say I64 is down to one lane in each direction and traffic is backing up in the eastbound lane.

The semi is currently laying across the median. Emergency responders say the semi was heading west, jackknifed and went through the cable barrier.

No word on injuries.

A wrecker is at the scene to remove the truck.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A semi has reportedly jackknifed near the 10 mile marker of I-64 in Huntington.

This is between the Hal Greer and 5th Street exits. The crash was reported about 11:40 a.m. Friday.

Emergency responders say the truck ended up in the median and is partially blocking the eastbound lanes. We’re told the semi was heading west and ended up crashing through the cable barrier.

There is no word on injuries.

Traffic is moving slow in both directions on the interstate in the area of the accident.

We have a crew headed to the scene.
