HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington police have released the name of a woman who was stabbed in the neck Friday night.
The stabbing happened just before 2 a.m. in the 18-hundred block of artison avenue.
Police said the victim is Rachael Browning of Columbus, Ohio.
Investigators said Browning was stabbed in the neck by another women.
She was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center and is in stable condition.
Police said the two women were fighting at the time of the stabbing and believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
No arrests have been made yet.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Detectives are being called to the scene of an early morning stabbing in Huntington, according to 911 dispatchers.
Dispatchers say just before 2:00 a.m. they got a call about a stabbing on Artisan Avenue between 18th and 19th Streets.
The call came in that a woman had been stabbed in the throat area.
There's no word on how badly she was hurt, but dispatchers say she is being taken to the hospital.
No arrests have been made just yet.
Huntington Police are investigating.
