UPDATE: Man Charged in Huntington Shooting; Victim also Arrested

UPDATE 9/30/11 @ 2 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An arrest has been made in a shooting from over the weekend in Huntington.

It happened about 11 p.m. Saturday in the 2000-block of 9th avenue.

Police say Anthony Driscoll was shot in the leg.

Thursday, Eugene Wamsley, 31, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding for shooting Driscoll.

During the investigation, police realized Driscoll hadn't shown up to court on a past felony charge so he was arrested earlier this week.

Wamsley faces 2 to 10 years if convicted.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The victim of a shooting is behind bars after police say he was a no-show in court on a felony charge.

Huntington Police tell WSAZ.com Anthony Driscoll, 26, was shot in the leg about 11 p.m. Saturday.

It happened in the 2000 block of 9th Avenue.

Driscoll was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

He is now in the Western Regional jail. Police say he failed to show up in Cabell County Court on a felony charge.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are on the scene of a shooting in Huntington.

Emergency dispatchers tell WSAZ.com it happened in the 2000 block of 9th Avenue just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

They say a man was shot in the leg. He's been taken to the hospital.

No word on a suspect.
