WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police have released the name of the man found dead on the side of a road in the Spring Valley area of Wayne County Thursday night.

Troopers say neighbors found the body of Andrew "Craig" McGlothlin on Oak Lane about 9:30 p.m.

State Police said Thursday night that the 25-year-old lived on that street.

We’re told an autopsy is pending.

Troopers are working to determine whether he died at the scene or was placed there. They are also investigating if foul play was involved.

Sgt. Robert Perry told WSAZ.com Thursday night that McGlothlin texted his family about 7:45 p.m. Thursday. Perry said he was not aware of anything in those messages that indicated he was in any sort of trouble.

"We've located a place where he was earlier," Perry said. "We're trying to see if we can find some video or anybody else who might have been there at that time to see what might have been possibly going on."
