CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil water advisory for hundreds of residents in Cabell County.
The advisory was issued Monday for 400 customers in the Huntington/Salt Rock area, due to a water main break which drained a tank.
Affected areas included Idle Acres, Pinkerman Drive, Bowen Ridge, Pleasant View, Camp Branch, Green Valley, south of Bowen Ridge.
WVAW says results of water testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption.
WVAW says the advisory was issued following a main break, which drained the Bowen Ridge tank.
Affected areas include Idle Acres, Pinkerman Drive, Bowen Ridge, Pleasant View, Camp Branch, Green Valley, south of Bowen Ridge.
Crews are working to repair the break.
Customers are asked to boil their water before consumption until further notice.
