WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A precautionary boil water was issued Monday evening for about 150 West Virginia American Water customers in the Spring Valley area near Huntington, according to a WVAW news release.

A main break on Spring Valley Drive resulted in service disruption to customers on the following streets: Spring Valley Drive, Whaley Court, Buena Vista Drive, Oak Lane, Sunset Drive, Shamrock Lane and Vista Crest Drive. Crews are working to restore service.

Customers are urged to boil any water used for cooking, drinking, ice making, oral hygiene, injury treatment and watering pets and then allow it to cool to a reasonable temperature.
