UPDATE 2/4/13
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Mingo County was sentenced Monday to four years and two months in a federal prison for oxycodone possession.

In May 2012, Terry Kevin Steele, 42, of Meador, pleaded guilty to the charge in U.S District Court in Huntington.

On Nov. 17, 2011 Cabell County Sheriff's deputies arrested Steele after being called to a Huntington hotel about a disturbance.

According to the criminal complaint, Steele held a woman down on a bed in a room at the motel, put a gun to her head, and then stole $290 in cash from her.

Deputies say they recovered 1,379 oxycodone tablets and a .38 revolver from the motel room.

The criminal complaint indicated that Steele was a convicted felon for kidnapping.

Steele was arrested on several state charges that included aggravated robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm. It was a gun the Sheriff says was stolen from Pratt, W.Va., in 1984. This took place in a room at the hotel, according to the criminal complaint.

There's no word on the status of the state charges.

Steele admitted to federal prosecutors that he intended to sell the pills to people in Mingo County.

The Sheriff plans to get in touch with the DEA to hopefully track down where these pills came from.
