One Critically Hurt in Crash on W.Va. 2; Road Reopen

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- W.Va. 2 has reopened late Friday night where a three-car crash critically hurt one person and sent two others to the hospital, Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas tells a WSAZ.com crew at the scene.

The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of W.Va. 2, just north of Huntington. One person suffered life-threatening injuries. Two others were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident involved three cars, two of which crashed head-on.

McComas said weather is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The roadway reopened about 11 p.m. Friday.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person is critically injured in a crash that involved three vehicles Friday night in the 5200 block of W.Va. 2, just north of Huntington, Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas tells WSAZ.com.

Two other people were taken to the hospital, but their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

It appears two of the vehicles crashed head-on. A third vehicle was involved, but it is not certain just how yet.

The accident was reported about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

W.Va. 2 remains closed in both directions in that area. It may not reopen until 11 p.m. or later Friday night, McComas said.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A multiple-vehicle crash Friday night has closed W.Va. 2 in both directions in the 5200 block near the intersection with Three Mile Creek Road, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

The crash was reported about 8:30 p.m. Friday. As many as three cars are reported to be involved. There is entrapment in one of the cars.

Cabell County Sheriff's deputies are among first responders at the scene, which is just north of Huntington.

We also have a crew headed to the scene.
