CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Crews are on the scene of a house fire in Huntington.

The fire was reported just before 11 a.m. Friday at 5011 Altizer Avenue.

Crews on the scene tell WSAZ.com that no one was home when the fire broke out.

Firefighters say the fire was trapped between the ceiling and the metal roof making it difficult to fight.

Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department, Ohio River Road Volunteer Fire Department, and Green Valley Fire Department all responded to the fire.

Andrew Frazier with the BVFD tells WSAZ.com that they believe the fire was electrical and started in the kitchen.

Frazier says the home is a total loss.
