HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Huntington man faces multiple charges after police say he threw his infant son at the child’s mother.
Huntington Police charged Zachariah Curry, 29, with felony child abuse resulting in injury and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged incident happened following a verbal altercation that turned physical between Curry and the child’s mother at their apartment in Huntington last week.
Police say that Curry grabbed his 8-month old son by the neck and threw him on top of her. The complaint says Curry then began strangling the child’s mother and threw her to the ground.
Following the incident, the child by checked out by Cabell County EMS.
Curry remains in the Western Regional Jail
