BURLINGTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- If you think you heard an explosion this evening, you're not alone.
WSAZ.com received several reports of a loud bang and the ground shaking around 9 p.m. Sunday.
It turns out it was all a practical joke.
Burlington firefighters say someone filled an inner tube with propane and lit it up.
Firefighters say it happened on South County Road near a senior citizens center.
The explosion could be heard from miles around in both Lawrence and Cabell counties. Both dispatch centers had crews searching for the sound for more than an hour.
One fire captain said he could hear the blast from his house five miles away.
