JEFFERSON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fire early Friday morning damaged the Jefferson Motel in Kanawha County.

The hotel manager told the fire started while she was cooking some bacon in the office area and left it unattended.

By the time she returned to the office, she says an entire wall was engulfed in flames.

No one was hurt, and guests at the hotel told that they were glad to make it out safely and without their belongings being damaged.
