HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- All clinics at the Marshall University Medical Center will be open Friday.
Fire crews were called to the building on the Cabell Huntington Hospital campus Thursday night.
Marshall University told WSAZ.com that there was a small fire in an electrical panel which caused smoke and some power issues.
The smoke was cleared and no patients were affected.
The fire happened just before 8 p.m.
The Chief of the Huntington Fire Department tells WSAZ.com a couple transformers blew in the basement of the Marshall University Medical Center.
Crews are now trying to figured out what caused the electrical problem.
Firefighters say the smoke has been cleared and no patients were affected.
They say AEP crews have been called out to assess the problem and to restore any power that may have been affected when the transformers blew.
Cabell Huntington officials say patients will get a phone call tomorrow if their appointment is cancelled.
