HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fugitive from justice from Detroit was arrested late Tuesday night in the 600 block of Rear 9th Avenue by Cabell County Sheriff's deputies.
Dequan Jackson, 22, is wanted in Detroit on assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon and failure to appear charges, according to a Cabell County Sheriff's report.
Jackson was arrested just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
At the time of his arrest, Jackson had two knotted bags believed to contain nearly $4,000 worth of heroin. Deputies also seized more than $1,719 cash.
Jackson was arraigned late Tuesday night in Cabell County Magistrate Court and held without bond, pending an extradition hearing.
The C.U.F.F.E.D. Task Force and the Huntington Police Department assisted in Jackson's arrest.
