HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fugitive from New Jersey was arrested in Huntington and now faces new charges in West Virginia.
Huntington Police say L.B. Wilson, Jr., 20, of Huntington, was arrested Wednesday on Artisan Avenue.
According to the criminal complaint, Wilson, Jr. matched the description of someone who was waiving a gun at Northcott Court minutes earlier.
When police approached, Wilson, Jr. told them he had a gun tucked in his waistband. Police say the .22 caliber pistol had a round in the chamber.
During a search at police headquarters, officers say they found a plastic baggie with imitation controlled substance in his buttocks.
He is charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession with intent to distribute imitation controlled substance.
Wilson, Jr. was wanted out of New Jersey on a felony drug conviction.
He is being held in the Western Regional Jail without bond.
