Man Wanted on Forgery and Uttering Charges Captured

HARTS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man who has been on the run from police for a month is behind bars, charged with multiple felonies.

Just after midnight Thursday, troopers from the West Virginia State Police Post in Hamlin arrested James Maynard.

Maynard,24, was arrested at a home on Harvey Fork Road in Harts. Troopers say they received a tip that he was there.

Maynard was wanted out of Logan County on numerous forgery and uttering charges.

He is also charged with fleeing, obstruction and possession of a controlled substance in Lincoln County.

Maynard is being held in the Western Regional Jail.
