HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women Day" was Friday, Feb. 7.
That could explain all the red you may have seen people wearing if you were out Friday.
The event is meant to raise awareness about heart disease in women. Heart disease is the number one killer of women, and more women actually die from it than men.
WSAZ.com meteorologist Kelly Ann Cicalese took part in the St. Mary's Medical Center Go Red luncheon on Friday. It is an annual get-together for physicians, advocates and heart attack survivors from all around our region.
