GUYANDOTTE, W.Va. (WSAZ) --A family returned home Saturday morning only to find their house to be unliveable.
Firefighters say a fire started at a home on 5th Avenue in Guyandotte at about 8:30 a.m.
The house suffered major damage inside.
Firefighters say they think it was an electricial fire. State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
The family says they are staying with friends right now. They think it might be months before they can move back in.
The Guyandotte community is holding a donation collection for the family Monday, September 17.
People will be on hand to collect the donations behind The Madie Carroll House from noon to 2 p.m.
