HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Drivers who use Hal Greer Boulevard into downtown Huntington, or the area around Marshall University, will likely experience some delays starting Monday.
The W.Va. Department of Highways is starting a widening project for the area between Charleston Avenue and 10th Avenue.
The project includes a center turn lane, new sidewalks and installation of new traffic signals. The contractor will be utilizing lane closures in order to perform the work. Drivers are being encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
The work is expected to take about a year.
