Hit and Run Suspect Caught in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A hit and run in downtown Huntington Saturday night has left a suspect in the hospital.

Police got a call about a man driving a box truck and slamming into a parked car and then driving off.

Officers say another driver saw it all happen and feared the driver may have had a gun.

Police pulled over the box truck at Third Avenue and 18th Street. When the suspect wouldn't get out of the truck, police had to remove him.

The suspect had to be taken to the hospital and police say they never found a weapon in the truck.
