HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The suspect in a shooting in Huntington last month was arrested Wednesday night.
West Virginia State Police and US Marshals CUFFED Task Force arrested Charles Calaway, 21, of Huntington, in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue.
Calaway faces felony charges of malicious wounding and wanton endangerment in connection with the shooting, and new charges in connection with Wednesday's arrest.
According to state police, they took a loaded sawed off shotgun and a .38 acliber revolved from the home.
They also found a small bag of marijuana, which Calaway admitted was his.
He is also charged with persons prohibited of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
According to the criminal complaint, Calaway and another man got into an argument during a party at a home in the 900 block of 14th Street on January 15.
Calaway is accused of pulling out a handgun and firing five times, hitting the victim in the elbow with one of the shots.
Following his arrest, Calaway told WSAZ.com that he was not the shooter and that he was in Columbus, Ohio at the time of the shooting.
Calaway is being held in the Western Regional Jail.
