HUNTINGTON, W. Va. (WSAZ) -- A home was destroyed by fire Saturday morning.

Deputy Chief Scott Earl from Huntington's Fire Department told WSAZ.com that the call came in at 9:21a.m.

The house, found at 511 9th Avenue, was fully involved when firefighters arrived.

Earl said the cause of the fire is unknown, but power lines in the back of the house were melted and destroyed.

AEP Power is working to repair those lines now as firefighters continue to drown out smoking embers of the house, eliminating any risk of the fire moving to neighbor's homes which are very close in proximity.
