Fire Heavily Damages Two Businesses in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Third Avenue in Huntington reopened Monday after an early morning fire not only shut it down but heavily damaged two businesses.

The fire started at 3:07 a.m. Monday at a building at Third Avenue and 20th Street.

Stadium Picture Framing and Rivals Sports Bar are both in the building.

Stadium Picture Framing was heavily damaged while Rivals Sports Bar received smoke and water damage.

Monday's morning rush traffic had to deal with two of the four lanes shut down because of the fire but all lanes are back open.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two businesses were heavily damaged by a fire Monday morning.

Cabell County 911 received the call at 3:07 a.m. that a building in the 2000 Block of 3rd Avenue in Huntington was on fire.

Two businesses, Stadium Picture Framing and Rivals Sports Bar, operate in the building.

Firefighters say flames were showing when they arrived on the scene.

They told WSAZ.com that there was a partial roof collapse and that some of the beams were visible.

Stadium Picture Framing was heavily damaged while Rivals Sports Bar received smoke and water damage.

Cabell 911 told WSAZ.com that two of the four lanes of 3rd Avenue at 20th Street have reopened to traffic.
