CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A landline phone outage is affecting 331 people in the Barboursville area Friday night because of some sort of equipment failure, a Cabell County 911 supervisor said.

It is impacting customers in the following exchanges: 733, 736, and 762. Not all customers who live in those exchanges are affected by the outage, though.

Repair workers with Frontier are working to repair the issue.

Anyone without a dial tone is urged to use a cell phone or a neighbor's cell phone in case of emergency to call 911.
