UPDATE: Fire Extinguished after Lightning Strikes Gas Line

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fire caused by a lightning strike in Huntington is now out.

Dispatchers say the strike hit a gas line on top of the hill near Huntington High.

The gas has been turned off and crews have cleared the scene.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a fire caused by a lightning strike.

911 dispatchers say it happened Saturday evening on top of the hill near Huntington High School.

Dispatchers say the strike hit a gas line. Crews are waiting for the gas company to arrive on scene and turn the gas off.
