Man Arrested after Police Chase Across State Lines

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man was arrested Friday night after a police chase that crossed state lines into Huntington before going back across the 31st Street Bridge into Ohio, police say.

The man faces a slew of charges including driving under the influence, fleeing and resisting arrest, Proctorville Police say. His name was not being released Friday night.

Officers say the pursuit started about 8:30 p.m. Friday on Ohio 7. The driver crossed the 31st Street Bridge into Huntington, led officers down 3rd Avenue, eventually turned onto 5th Avenue and went back over the bridge into Proctorville where he finally gave himself up.
