Man Dies After Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police say a man who caused a crash last week has now died from his injuries.

The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. Monday, December 2.

Police say William Scott Bishop, 22, of Huntington, ran a red light at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard.

Bishop was driving north on Hal Greer Boulevard when he was hit by a semi traveling east on 5th Avenue.

Bishop was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Police say he died just before noon Tuesday.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

The road was shut down for several hours while crews worked to reconstruct the accident.
