HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to a federal felony gun charge, along with heroin possession, according to information from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin's office.

Antonio Smith originally had been charged with six counts of malicious wounding in connection with a shooting that happened last September at the Northcott Court housing complex in Huntington.

The state, however, will not pursue charges in connection with that case since Smith pleaded guilty in the federal case.
