HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was sentenced Monday to nearly six years in prison for a bank robbery in Barboursville last summer.
In October, William Spencer Farley, 25, pleaded guilty to the July 26 robbery at the City National Bank branch along U.S. 60.
Monday, Farley was sentenced to five years and ten months in a federal prison during a hearing in U.S. District Court in Huntington.
Prosecutors said that during the robbery, Farley pointed a pistol at a bank teller and demanded cash. He then fled the bank with $3,007.
Farley, who was captured on the bank surveillance camera, was arrested several hours later. He confessed to the robbery in a statement to law enforcement officers.
