UPDATE: Man Shot in Mingo County

DELBARTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man accused of shooting his neighbor is facing a charge of attempted murder.

West Virginia State Police say that Curtis Marcum was arguing with his neighbor when he shot him in the back.

Troopers say the injury appears to be serious. The 67-year-old's name is not being released at this time.

The accused, Marcum, is 70-years-old.

DELBARTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man shot in the back in the Delbarton area of Mingo County is recovering in the hospital.

It happened a little after 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com that a 70-year-old-man shot a 68-year -old man in the back with a pistol.

The shooter is in custody. The victim was taken to a hospital in Pike County Kentucky.

At this point no names have been released.
