UPDATE: Missing Man from Putnam County Found

UPDATE: 6/16/12 @ 1:30 p.m.
PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A missing man from Putnam County has been found, according to detectives.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department tells WSAZ.com that Jason Rice, 21, was reported safe and came home early Saturday afternoon.

It is still unclear why he wandered off or for how long, but detectives are continuing to investigate.

Deputies say Rice was last seen about 10:30 p.m. last Saturday, June 9.

He was walking along Trace Creek Road near Hurricane.

The mother of Rice says he came walking through the door just after noon Saturday but did not explain to her why he was gone for nearly a week.

Deputies say they received several calls about the missing man and are still looking into what happened.

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A missing man investigation is underway in Putnam County.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department tells WSAZ.com Jason Rice, 21, was last seen about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9.

He was walking along Trace Creek Road near Hurricane.

Rice was wearing a red and black plaid shirt, jeans and work boots.

He is 5'6" and weighs about 140 lbs.
