Pair Arrested in Connectiion with Stabbing and Pill Theft

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people from Barboursville have been arrested following an alleged stabbing and assault over pills.

Cabell County Sheriff Detectives arrested Leann Staszewski-Wise, 36, and Brandon Lewis, 20, both of Barboursville, last week.

According the criminal complaint, the victim told detectives the incident began when he refused to give the pair his Clonazepam pills. He says Staszewski-Wise and Lewis then busted into his bedroom where Lewis repeatedly stabbed him in the leg and back. He says Staszewski-Wise then began kicking him in the face while he was on the floor.

The criminal compliant also says that during the commotion Lewis accidentally stabbed his mother in the side and then closed the knife on his fingers severely cutting himself.

Lewis is charged with malicious wounding and attempted first-degree robbery.

Staszewski-Wise is charged with assault and attempted first-degree robbery.

The incident happened back in June.
