Man Killed in Fall from Bridge Over I-64 near Barboursville

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police have released more information about a man who was killed after falling nearly 160 feet from a bridge over I-64 near Barboursville.
The accident happened at 9 p.m. Wednesday night beneath the West Pea Bridge overpass near the 15 mile marker.
Barboursville Police Chief Mike Coffey says witnesses saw Anthony Bailey, 25, of Huntington fall from the bridge. Carey says Bailey’s body was then hit was westbound traffic.
Chief Carey says the circumstances of the fatal accident are undetermined at this time.
The accident shut down the westbound lanes until the scene could be cleared.
