UPDATE: Man Arrested Following Police Chase Between Ohio and W.Va.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man involved in a police chase that began in Chesapeake, Ohio and ended in Huntington has been arraigned on a misdemeanor obstruction charge.

The purist began just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when Cabell 911 got a call from the Chesapeake, Ohio Police Chief about getting assistance with stopping a vehicle he was pursuing.

The vehicle was pulling a U-Haul that reportedly contained items stolen from a house earlier Tuesday.

Once in Huntington, the driver and a passenger ditched the U-Haul near a towing business along 3rd Avenue near 4th Street.

According to the criminal complaint, Charles Lester, 36, of Hurricane, W.Va. was found hiding under a trailer about a block away. Police are still looking for the other man.

No word on what charges, if any Lester faces in Ohio.

It started about 6:30 p.m. in Chesapeake, Ohio, and continued across the Robert C. Byrd Bridge into downtown Huntington.

Two men were following a U-Haul they believe was full of items stolen from a relative's house earlier Tuesday.

Police got involved in the chase along Rockwood Avenue in Chesapeake and followed the suspected thieves across the river into West Virginia.

The driver ditched the U-Haul near a towing business along 3rd Avenue in Huntington.

Just one of the people inside was arrested. Police are still looking for two others who were in the U-Haul.
