HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A mysterious power outage knocked the lights out for about 2,500 customers Tuesday afternoon.
According to AEP spokesperson Phil Moye, crews have been unable to find a cause for the outage.
Power was out for customers for about 50 minutes Tuesday afternoon.
Moye tells WSAZ.com that crews will continue to search for the cause of the outage.
No word on what caused the outage that happened about 1:15 p.m. About 1:55 power was back on to the traffic signals.
Right after the outage, County Manager Chris Tatum said the Cabell Courthouse was closing for the day.
Tatum says AEP hoped to have the power restored to the Courthouse by 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.
