Thousands are left without power following Thursday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Progress is being made in restoring power to thousands of homes following storms Thursday evening.

Here's the latest number of power outages reported to Appalachian Power:

West Virginia
Cabell County: 3,054
Wayne County: 1,116
Boone County: 216

Kentucky
Greenup County: 1,269
Boyd County: 596
Lawrence County: 158

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Thousands of people are left without electricity after strong storms moved across the region Thursday evening.

Here's the latest number of power outages reported to Appalachian Power:

West Virginia
Cabell County: 3,029
Wayne County: 1,618
Boone County: 216
Lincoln County: 212
Kanawha County: 132

Kentucky
Greenup County: 1,792
Boyd County: 838
Martin County: 331
Lawrence County: 152

Appalachian Power crews are working to restore the outages but it's not clear when all of the outages will be fixed.
