HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An accident that left an AEP truck on its side is causing some traffic issues at a busy intersection in Huntington
The accident happened in the 900 block of 8th Avenue about 8 a.m. Monday.
The driver of the truck told Huntington Police that the boom of the truck was left up and when he pulled onto 8th Avenue the boom got tangled in a utility line. The line, along with the weight of the boom, pulled the truck over on its side. The driver was able to get out of the truck and was not injured.
The downed line knocked out power to the traffic signal at 8th Avenue and 10th Street.
Power is expected to be restored in the area by mid Monday morning.
