HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- After burning a few calories at the annual Turkey Trot in Huntington, the more than 1,000 participants may feel a little less guilty about indulging on their Thanksgiving feast.
The 7th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run and Walk was held at Ritter Park Thursday morning.
More than 1,300 participants were signed up for this year's event, making it the largest Turkey Trot.
This year's trot was dedicated to Patrick O'Dell, a Huntington native and dog lover.
Organizers asked for participants to bring cans or bags of pet food that will be donated to Little Victories.
Not only does the race help a good cause, but it adds a little fun to your run. Many people showed up in costume for this year's trot.
Brown Dog Yoga also participated in this year's event, offering a post-race stretch session.
