HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a Huntington pawn shop.
Huntington Police arrested Danny Napier II, 27, of Huntington, on Saturday.
According to the criminal complaint, Napier confessed to robbing the Gold and Silver Exchange Friday morning. The drive-thru business is located in the 2500-block of 5th Avenue.
Investigators tell WSAZ.com Napier acted like he wanted to pawn jewelry but then pointed a gun at an employee, demanded cash and ran off.
Napier was charged with first-degree robbery. He also faces an unrelated misdemeanor charge out of Wayne County.
This is the second time the pawn shop was targeted in the past couple of months.
Back in December, the same clerk was also robbed by two men as she was locking up for the night. Police are still searching for suspects in that case.
The business is a drive-thru that says it buys gold and silver. It is located in the 2500-block of 5th Avenue. The robbery was reported just after 10:30 a.m.
Police have not released any information at this time.
A K-9 unit was brought in to search the area.
