Route 2 Reopens After Crash

GALLIPOLIS FERRY, W. Va. (WSAZ) -- Route 2 is back open in Mason County, West Virginia following a serious injury crash Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened near the railroad crossing in Gallipolis Ferry about 4 p.m. Saturday.

911 dispatchers tell three helicopters were brought in to transport victims from the crash.

It was unclear how many victims there were, and how serious their injuries were.

There is also no word on how many vehicles were involved in the crash, or how the crash occurred.
