Sexual Assault Suspect Apprehended

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A two-week search for a man accused of 2nd degree sexual assault has ended with the suspect behind bars.
39-year-old Mark Ward was arrested about 1 a.m. Wednesday. He was later arraigned in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
According to the criminal complaint, Ward sexually assaulted a woman in October, at her apartment in Huntington, while her child was in bed with her.
The arrest was a joint effort between the Cabell and Wayne County Sheriff's offices, and the West Virginia State Police.
Ward is in Western Regional Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash only bond.
